The Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Mohammed Sabo Nanono has extended his congratulatory greetings to Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari on his appointment as the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, on Wednesday announced Gambari’s appointment during the Federal Executive Council virtual meeting in Abuja .
In his reaction, Nanono described Gambari as a career diplomat who has scaled through unexpected boundaries and made a difference.
“I wish you success, as you join the struggle in taking Nigeria to the Next Level,” the minister said.
With his appointment, the professor, an indigene of Kwara State, replaces Abba Kyari, the ex-Chief of Staff who died on April 17 from Coronavirus-related complications.
Gambari is the Founder/Chairman of the Board of Directors of Savannah Centre for Diplomacy, Democracy and Development, a non-governmental think-tank on research and policy studies on conflict prevention and resolution as well as democratization and development in Africa.
